High Flyers in fine tune for Satellite glory

CREWE Flyers returned home from the Satellite Gala in Macclesfield with a cluster of medals and trophies.
On the first day, Crewe won five gold’s, eight silvers and three bronzes, two fifths and a sixth. They also picked up half-a-dozen speeding tickets!
Gold’s went to Daniel Parry in the 100m butterfly in 1m 14.31s and the 100m backstroke in 1m 15.70s, Abby Wigglesworth who clocked in the 1m 24.45s in the Individual Medley , Colette Foster who touched home in 37.53s in the 50m freestyle and Owen Davies who finished the 100m Individual Medley in 1m 27.95s.
Joseph Wood won two silvers while other second spots went to Stephanie Parker, Tiffany McNair, Alexandra Park, Charlotte Matthews and Christopher Alcock.
Bronze medallists were Jason Owen, Tiffany McNair and Charlotte Matthews, while Chris Alcock, Alex Parker and Tiffany McNair were the other finalists.
Owen Davies and Abbie Henderson picked up two speeding tickets each, while others went to Colette Foster and Joseph Wood.
Day two for Flyers was equally rewarding with Crewe winning eight gold’s, five silvers, two bronzes, two fourths and three fifths, one sixth and seven speeding tickets.
Stephanie Parker won a hat-trick of gold’s in the 100m back-stroke, 100m butterfly and the 100m freestyle. Daniel Parry won his third gold of the gala in the 100m breaststroke while Abbie Henderson won the 100m Individual Medley and Colette Foster triumphed in the 50m backstroke. The 10 and 11-year-old boys and girls relay teams both won their freestyle events.
Abby Wigglesworth, Tiffany McNair, Alexandra Parker and Owen Davies won silvers as did the 12 and 13-year-old boys' freestyle relay team of Daniel Parry, Jason Owen, Chris Palmer and Callum Burness.
Jason Owen and Colette Foster won bronzes in the 100m Individual Medley s while Tiffany McNair, Charlotte Matthews, Joseph Wood, Abby Wigglesworth, Chris Palmer and Tom Roberts were other finalists.
Daniel Parry and Abbie Henderson received two speeding tickets while Tom Roberts, Joseph Wood and Owen Davies picked up one.
Meanwhile, two new club records were set in the open freestyle championships held at Crewe Pool.
Gareth Payne won the men's 1,500-yards event in 15m 37.87 seconds, while Daniel Parry was second and Kris Ryan Wood third.
Elisabeth Kilcourse was another record breaker in the ladies' 800 yards, finishing in 9minutes 10.53s with Louise Thomas second and Stephanie Parker third.
