Elliott’s the man in formOct 17 2007 - Crewe ChronicleELLIOTT Bloor has typified a successful start to the season for Crewe Flyers. The talented youngster has been selected to represent Cheshire at the forthcoming Inter-County Championships at Sheffield on Sunday. Head Coach Ian Spencer said: ‘I am delighted for Elliott. It is deserved recognition for his performances over the past year. ‘He is the first Crewe swimmer to be selected for this competition. More than 40 counties will be competing on the day. The standard will be extremely high with many national champions and international swimmers present.’
Meanwhile, 24 Flyers travelled to the City of Stoke B Grade competition recently
and returned with an impressive haul of 37 medals. Gold medallists were: Paige Bradbury, Michael Eastwood (4), Stephanie Eastwood, Grace Farr, Jason Hodgson, Toby Molyneux (2), Anthony Ryan (2), Daniel Ryan and Shannon Webb. The club, who were promoted to Division One of the Deva League last season, have performed well in the first two rounds and currently lie in third place. Crewe Neptune Lifesaving Club duo Rebecca Smith and Stephanie Douglas have qualified for the National Lifesaving Championships at Sheffield on November 10.
And youngsters Chloe Harrison, Courtney Williams, Hannah Bloor and Jack Hulme showed
great promise at their first ever competition. |
