Charlotte shines for FlyersMay 14 2008 Crewe ChronicleCHARLOTTE Bradbury shone brightly as six CREWE FLYERS did their club proud at the Radford Open. Along with Colette Foster, Elliot Bloor, Ben Buckley, Rebecca Small and Mike Eastwood, she was in action at the meeting, held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. And there was no shortage of medals flowing in. Charlotte clocked a big personal best in the 200m freestyle which handed her top spot overall in her age group. Gold and bronze medals went to Colette, while silver and bronze were claimed by Charlotte and Elliot. Ben, Rebecca and Mike all notched personal bests and made it to race finals. In the BAGCAT standings Mike finished sixth and Colette was third. A club spokesman said: “The long course pool attracts lots of clubs, resulting in a high standard of competition, but the Flyers were always in the mix.” Meanwhile, Flyer Bethany Mayer notched second place in the 200m and 100m backstroke events while on duty for Cheshire at Stockport. Cheshire won the gala. |
