Swim 21 Section

Swim 21 is the Amateur Swimming Association's accreditation scheme which demonstrates that a club is providing its members with effective swimming coaching within a safe, well managed club environment.

To achieve the Swim 21 Award the Club has to provide documentary evidence that it has reached and maintains the required standards in all aspects of its operation - swimmer development, teacher/coach development and club management.

During 2006 Crewe Flyers where delighted to receive thea Swim 21 Teaching Award. In addition to this, the Club received double honours by being awarded the prestigious Sport England Clubmark.

The Club's three priority work areas for the 2007 / 2008 are:

Swim 21 Accreditation was first launched in February 2002. The ASA has recently reviewed the progress of the scheme to ensure that it is keeping pace with the needs of the sport and in particular the needs of the athletes. A number of changes to the process have been identified, which the Club Management Committee will be working towards during the next 12 months.
